Kathryn L. Harrison recognized for dedication to pro bono work.
PITTSBURGH, PA. (October 8, 2015) – Campbell & Levine is pleased to announce Kathryn L. Harrison was recently awarded the Jane F. Hepting Individual Attorney Award through the Allegheny County Bar Association’s (ACBA) 2015 Pro Bono Achievement Awards. The awards were presented at a reception on Thursday, Oct. 8, at Hotel Monaco by the Allegheny County Bar Foundation (ACBF) and the Public Service Committee and are timed perfectly with Pro Bono Week, October 25-31. Katie was nominated for her outstanding work and dedication to pro bono cases.
Katie volunteers with the Uptown Legal Clinic, where she provides pro bono legal assistance on debt and social security disability related cases. She has also given time to the Homeless Experience Law Project, where she worked on benefits and debt matters for clients. Katie currently volunteers with the Debt Advice Clinic at Neighborhood Legal Services, as well.
The ACBA Pro Bono Achievement Awards recognize individuals and organizations that have made outstanding contributions to pro bono service in the community. The Jane F. Hepting Individual Attorney Award is given to an attorney who has shown exemplary commitment to or made substantial achievements in pro bono legal services. The ACBF Board of Trustees named this award in recognition of Jane Hepting’s dedication to the delivery of pro bono legal services through her 26 years as an NLSA attorney.
Award recipients were selected based on their contributions to delivery of free legal services. Nominators were asked to highlight specific information about the types of services the nominee performed, number of clients served or persons benefitted, and any aspects of the service that were unique or innovative.
